You’ve probably heard it said, that you shouldn’t mix business with pleasure..well, you shouldn’t believe everything you hear.
I’m in the habit of mixing both business and pleasure, vigorously and often.Whenever I have a meeting in London, I take the opportunity to try a new restaurant, brasserie or the like, partly for business mainly for culinary pleasure.
Granted, Surrey has many quaint tea spots, but there’s nothing like a vibrant London pitstop to get your creative juices flowing.
Im a Surrey girl through and through, but there is something special about Kensington. Ive had many working lunches in the borough and with many tea rooms and bistros nearby, its a failsafe for meeting clients or friends.
Today my meeting brought me to Aubaine. While it was a very productive meet, the highlight was the food, (priorities eh).
The little french restaurant is so pretty. It has a vintage, country feel with rustic furniture and magenta orchids. The atmosphere is quintessentially French, mellow and chic, so it was ideal for a quick afternoon meeting. They offer all day dining, personally I think they are great for brunch or a light lunch, and you just have to sample the delicious patisserie. I only wish they would offer a bit more for the gluten freers of us in the world. Never the less I had tea and cakes (eat now pay later situation) and all was right with the world.
Next time you’re in the area, have a little wander over to Aubaine, they are also in Selfridges, Mayfair, Brompton Road and a few others are dotted around London and Dubai.
